The University of Central Missouri offers a wide variety of career-building programs for its students. They also offer job placements for their graduates, as well as many other resources. Their online degrees include both graduate and undergraduate, as well as certificates. Of these, many of them are entirely online, while others are just completion programs. The programs that are entirely online include Religious Studies, Psychology, Child and Family Development, and Registered Nurse. Most of the graduate programs are entirely online, including programs in Business, Law, and Education.

The university also offers non-credit online courses in many different areas of study. These online classes are more for personal enrichment. While they include professional courses such as accounting, law, education, business and health care, they also include other study programs like computer applications, writing and publishing, technology, language and arts, design and composition, and personal development.

Other courses that can be taken through distance learning are foreign language classes. These online learning classes include Spanish, French, German, and Methods of Teaching Foreign Language.

Tuition for students within the district of the school is discounted at half of the price that it would be for non-resident students. Financial aid is available to students who need or qualify for it, as well as scholarships.

Student employment is among various resources available to students of the University of Central Missouri. The Office of Career Services helps students diligently search for part-time employment that they can maintain while attending school. The university also holds job fairs, and features many off-campus work study jobs.

For students looking for a full-time job, they also have resources available to them from Career services. These resources are designed to assist them in their job search. There are also resources available for students seeking internships, including the creation or updating of a resume and cover letter. Other resources available through Career services are for students majoring in education, as well as international students. Education majors can review specific questions they may be asked on an interview. For international students, they may receive resume tips, interviewing tips, and other resources specific to their needs.

Career services also has workshops and career events. These include etiquette dinners, expos and panels. For students with potential interviews, they can receive tips on what to do during an interview and how to dress professionally. They can also review questions that they may be asked during the interview process, and even set up a mock or practice interview.
