Western International University Online

Western International University offers a flexible learning experience for adults with demanding lives. With new classes starting every month, WIU is an environment that helps students achieve more balance between their work, families, and education. The big-picture focus of WIU's classes helps deliver relevant information by emphasizing global and national issues within the scope of each class.

At Western, students may choose to attend classes at one of three Arizona campuses, or on the internet using WIU Interactive online. Classes are two months long, and meet once a week. With lectures, assignments and faculty accessible through the internet, students have the freedom to work anywhere that works best for them-whether that is at home, the library, or the coffee shop. Live sessions give students the ability to interact with faculty to get questions answered immediately, and recorded sessions allow for studying on tight schedules. All assignments and files are available online, including textbooks in electronic format. As a student, you will be able to discuss the assignments with your peers in virtual classrooms, and keep track of your grades and progress using the web-based system. This gives students the freedom to learn virtually anywhere, so long as they have access to a computer.

Degree programs include bachelors, masters, and certificate programs, and Western offers many concentrations to choose from. The programs of study are highly vocational, and this means that it is focused on real-life applications; WIU will provide you with the skills that are valued in the job market. Majors like human resource management, accounting, and informatics are in high demand in the workplace, and are an effective way to increase earning power. Legal studies programs are an excellent starting point for people looking to attend law school, as is the major in political science. Additionally, there are five areas of emphasis in the MBA track, so that each student can create a degree that caters to their interests.

Western understands that students want to make the most of their previous education, and counselors will work with you to maximize the credits you receive for already completed coursework.

Finally, WIU is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools, and many of the faculty have obtained advanced degrees in their areas of expertise. You can be sure you will leave your learning experience at Western International University with valuable knowledge and skills to take to the workplace.
