GeoLearning continues its expanding role in government with 15 federal agencies signed as clients in 2002.
West Des Moines, IA, 12/10/2002: GeoLearning, Inc., a leading developer of e-learning systems and Web-based training solutions, announced today that it has been awarded the e-learning contract for Module 2 of the U.S. federal government's Gov Online Learning Center (GOLC). The GOLC was originally launched in July 2002 on GeoLearning's GeoMaestro™ learning management system as part of a multi-million dollar e-learning contract. Module 2 will include the addition of a significant number of fee-for-service e-learning products, competency management tools and administrative enhancements to the site at www.golearn.gov.
The GOLC provides one-stop access to e-training services for more than 1.8 million people employed by the federal government, making it the e-learning industry's largest implementation. The e-Training Initiative and GOLC is an effort by the Office of Management & Budget and the U.S. Office of Personnel Management (OPM) to simplify and unify e-training services across federal government and is one of 24 e-government initiatives that support President George W. Bush's Management Agenda.
"We have been extremely pleased with the level of service and commitment the GeoLearning team has shown for our e-Training Initiative. We look forward to working together on the release of Module 2 early next year, which will provide several new e-learning products and services on the GeoLearning platform," said Michael Fitzgerald, OPM's project manager for the e-Training Initiative and GOLC.
"We are dedicated to the continued success of the e-Training Initiative," said Frank Russell, president and CEO of GeoLearning. "We take great pride in being the LMS provider for the Gov Online site and look forward to further opportunities for expanding our leadership role with the federal government."
In addition to the Gov Online award, GeoLearning was recently awarded e-learning contracts with the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco & Firearms, National Weather Service, U.S. Comptroller of the Currency, National Institute of Corrections and NASA. GeoLearning has added 15 federal agency clients in 2002, making the company the leading learning management system provider to the U.S. federal government.
